New Techniques and Technologies for Ground Improvement

There is significant room for improvement in the infrastructure sector following the expanding  population and rapid industrialization. At the same, access to good soils is critical for building a modern infrastructure.

After participating in the International Seminar “New Techniques and Technologies for Ground Improvement” we are happy to say that things are moving in the right direction.

Together with renowned professors & international experts in the field we have covered a wide array of interesting topics such as ground improvement techniques, lime stabilization of difficult soils, standardization and laboratory and field tests. Acting as partner of Romanian Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, Carmeuse has been actively involved in the event as main sponsor and speaker. Our main topics presented have been the European evolution regarding development of National Technical Guidelines 45 for treatment of marginal soil and the use of lime based binders in major infrastructure projects.

Here is a short insight video:

We would like to thank our partners, the Romanian Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, the Technical University of Civil Engineering and all experts for their valuable input.
